Kelly’s Story

My hair story (or lack thereof) began when I was born.  I was five years old before I had a full head of hair, even then it was flat, thin, straight, and short.

As I grew up, my hair did not get much better. I longed for thick, beautiful hair that would cascade around my shoulders and down my back. It bothered me and affected my self-confidence.

At 13, I made it my mission to get the luxurious hair I’d always dreamed of.

I begged my mother to take me to a local beauty supply store. I was in heaven: hair everywhere! Every color, length, and style! I bought extensions, went home, and immediately started gluing them into my own hair. Ha, had no clue what I was doing but I was determined to figure it out. All I knew was . . . I finally had hair. It was thick, it was long, and it made me feel gorgeous.

From that moment on, I wanted to share that feeling with everyone who struggles with thinning hair or is experiencing a condition that is causing hair loss. So, I studied and studied to become an industry recognized Master Hair Loss Specialist.

Today, after twenty years, I hold over 30 certifications in various types of hair extensions, men’s and women’s non-surgical hair replacement, and Japanese Thermal Reconditioning, as well as traditional hair cutting and coloring.

I actively participate in several organizations including Wigs for Kids and The American Hair Loss Council.

I am currently training to become a Trichologist, a specialist in alopecia and scalp disorders. I am inspired as a servant leader to continually train my team, and myself, to deliver services and client education at the highest level possible.

And more than anything, I want to help you feel attractive and confident!

The Hair Specialists’ Story

In 2010, in Hudson Ohio, The Hair Specialists began helping others feel great about their hair, offering hair extensions and methods of hair cutting and hair coloring to make hair appear thicker and fuller. A focus on hair loss and expanded restoration services has allowed us to offer comprehensive solutions to all causes of hair loss.

Our team continues to grow and in 2023 we extensively remodeled and moved into a new building in Stow Ohio that allows us to provide those client services, but with the additional benefit of a multiple private, full capability rooms, plus additional space. We are committed to being the industry leader and partner with our number one focus being service excellence.

We are a full non-surgical hair replacement salon that helps men, women, and children prevent, restore, and disguise their hair loss. We also have hair restoration products to help stop female hair loss and male hair loss. We listen, educate and share our experiences from our team’s collective 75 years of hair loss.

On the other side of the spectrum, we offer other services such as Japanese Thermal Reconditioning for clients who can’t manage their unruly, frizzy hair or who wish to permanently straighten their curls.

The Hair Specialists’ highly trained team will develop a personalized solution to your hair story. Losing your hair can be an incredibly emotional experience and it can be confusing knowing given what we see on TV, in commercials, advertisements and social media. We understand & can help make sense of it all. We are here for you; this is all we do.
